Submission for Feudal Japan Challenge - Prison Island

Inspired by Abashiri Prison, I did this piece where the prison is located far away from the main island of Japan. I decided to put the prison on a secluded remote island with little access to the main society. As a result, the inmates have to be self-sufficient and farm or fish to satisfy their daily needs. The island is also surrounded by pointy rocks and steep cliffs, making it almost impossible to run away.
